6) After a month (early jan 2021), I logged in again and saw that photos were still not deleted. Quality was mediocre but all good so far 5) I do not want shutterfly to keep my photos so i logged in to their account and deleted all the photos in early December 2020. Below are the sequence of events that happened 1) I created an account on 2) I uploaded my family photos 3) I created and ordered a hard cover album from them 4) They delivered the album to. does not delete photos even if you delete them from their portal. does not delete photos even if you delete them from their portal EASY FIX- return to the previous software version while you work out the many kinks. I'm halfway through my 2020 book so I'm stuck with it, but they need to fix this. *I* am not the problem! Today I tried to insert a text box and without typing anything in to it, my first click to reduce the font size led to an error that the text was too big and won't fit- with NOTHING there. It is TERRIBLE! I have been making photo books with Shutterfly for 13 years, and I've weathered other changes that were annoying- but this time it is AWFUL! Can't zoom to see detail of what I am working on, can't group photos to line up edges or even out spacing, can't even name the project anything but "photo book." I left feedback before and got a templated answer offering videos to tell me how to use photo book editor. Oh migosh it helps me so much to see that so many other people feel the same way that I do about the new version of Shutterfly's Photo Book Editor. All my albums are 11x8 and you no longer have that option in the old photobooks, which is what forced me to try the new. Please just revert back to the old system and allow us to have more choice in album size again. I also don't like how in the new version, I can't delete photos that I uploaded and am no longer going to use, making it difficult to weed unwanted photos out and costing much more time for the project. I do not like the design ideas as they take forever to load and do not give idea pages. I like having all the choices for editing pages on the left (layout, background, embellishments). I'm an educator and was so excited to make multiple albums this summer but I can't even finish one. Here's the only thing positive about the new - that I had more flexibility on album size (though this used to exist on old). I have two projects going, one on old and one on new. Bring back the advanced editing option, PLEASE!!!!Īgreeing with all the negative reviews. Updating what you have is great if you make it better, not so undeniably worse. Where are the buttons to align multiple objects? Where are the buttons to copy an already existing photo size quickly and add it to the page? Why can’t I move multiple objects all at the same time to keep them spaced correctly? Where is the spacing button to spread out the spacing evenly between objects? It’s beyond me why Shutterfly would get rid of the advanced editing that already worked well and revert back to photo book making of 20 years ago. When I logged on recently to make a new book, I noticed that all the features that made this process easy to edit have been removed. I chose them because of the ability to used advanced editing to get exactly what I wanted. What on earth happened to the old photo book editor software? I’ve made dozens of books over the years through Shutterfly. I’d give the new photo book program a zero if I could
